CPD Y Rhyl 1879 FC were left frustrated after missed opportunities resulted in a 1-1 draw against Menai Bridge Tigers.
The Ardal North-West division match saw the Lilywhites, under the guidance of Paul Moore, make the trip to Nantporth following last week's league victory.
The team was bolstered by the addition of three new signings, Paul Fleming, Lewis Hodson, and Billy Holmes, who all made the matchday squad.
With club captain Reece Fairhurst unavailable, James Jones took on the captaincy for the day.
The game started with a loose pass at the back, giving the home side a chance to put pressure on visiting goalkeeper Adam Reid.
However, the deflected effort was comfortably tipped over by Reid.
The Lilywhites had their first real opportunity in the 12th minute when Paul Fleming won the ball back in the final third and picked out Jason Foulkes.
His left-sided cross found Jonny Bravo in the penalty area, but his left-footed volley sailed over the bar.
The 19th minute saw great interplay between Alex Jones and Tom Kemp, with the ball eventually falling to the in-form Dylan Proctor, whose effort flashed agonisingly wide.
In the 41st minute, Alex Jones looped the ball over the home side's backline, with Dylan Proctor latching onto it.
Home goalkeeper Caron Hughes collided with Proctor, leading referee Liam Martin to point to the spot.
Jonny Bravo stepped up to take the penalty, but his effort was comfortably saved by Hughes, leaving the score at 0-0 at the break.
The visitors began the second half on the front foot, with Jason Foulkes' effort cleared off the line by the Menai Bridge defence in the 50th minute.
However, with 65 minutes played, the experienced Jamie McDaid fired home to put the Tigers in front.
In the 82nd minute, new recruit Paul Fleming found the back of the net, making it 1-1 with eight minutes plus stoppage time to play.
Despite increased pressure from Rhyl in the latter stages of the game, they were unable to find the back of the net again, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
Paul Moore commented after the game: "Can’t fault the lads' work rate, we just didn’t take our opportunities."
Moore also praised the home side for their defensive resilience.
Next up, CPD Y Rhyl 1879 FC will welcome Pwllheli to Belle Vue on Saturday, November 23, with a 2pm kick-off.
