Rhyl 1879 FC secured a win in a recent match under new management.
Paul Moore led the team, clinching a 2-0 victory against Connahs Quay Town at Belle Vue on Saturday, November 9.
The match, which was part of the Ardal North-West league, attracted an audience of 320 fans.
Moore made some changes to the starting lineup, introducing Jordan Worthington and Rhys Jones, alongside returning players Alex and James Jones.
The home side, demonstrating early pressure, saw a volley from James Stevens fly over the crossbar, thanks to some impressive play by Jason Foulkes.
However, 23 minutes into the match, the deadlock was broken when Dylan Proctor volleyed home into the bottom left corner.
Despite some advances from the visitors, they failed to challenge home goalkeeper Adam Reid, leaving 1879 with a 1-0 lead at halftime.
The second half started positively for 1879, with Jonny Bravo passing the ball to Proctor, whose shot was well-blocked by the visiting defence.
With 54 mins played, former 1879 player Jamie Reed had an opportunity saved by Reid after winning the ball from Tom Kemp.
In the 67th minute, Proctor scored his second goal of the match, firing home a low right-sided cross, bringing the score to 2-0.
The match concluded with a solid defensive performance from 1879, ensuring their victory.
The squad for the match included Adam Reid, Jame Jones, Casey Faulkner, Tom Kemp, Reece Fairhurst, Ales Jones, James Stevens, Jordan Worthington, Dylan Proctor, Jason Foulkes, and Rhys Jones, with substitutes Calum Proctor, Elliot Turner, Dan Wright, and Jonny Bravo.
