KINMEL Bay FC held Penmaenmawr Phoenix to a 1-1 draw at Y Morfa yesterday (March 16).
Bay’s players warmed up in Conwy Mind shirts, reminding all in attendance of the importance of mental health and sharing awareness.
With Penmaenmawr heading the North Wales Coast East Premier Division table and Kinmel Bay in seventh, this proved a fast and competitive game.

After a goalless first half, Liam Griffiths (assisted by Lee Stokes) opened the scoring to give Penmaenmawr the lead in the 58th minute.
But it was a lead quickly erased by Kinmel Bay’s Paddy Hamid just four minutes later.
Injured Olly Gray was replaced by Christopher Evans five minutes after the Bay goal, and despite Penmaenmawr’s Paddy Hold getting a blue card in the 83rd minute, the score from this well-matched fixture ended as a 1-1 draw.
