THIS Sunday (February 25) saw the Rhyl five- and 10-mile road races, although they were moved this year to Pensarn but of sea defence work.
The 10-mile event was also the North Wales Championships.
Abergele Harriers’ Sean and Steven McCormack took on the 10-miler, and there was little to choose between them.
Sean finished 24th out of the 272 runners in 67:03, which gave him first in the V60 category, which made him North Wales Champion.

Steven was 50 seconds adrift in 67:53 for 27th position.
He was rewarded with second senior male and a gold in the Championships.
Warren Brown and Sarah Brooks ran the five-miler for the Harriers, with Warren finishing 14th overall of the 183 runners, and second V50 in 34:42.
Sarah was 34th overall in 38:42, which was good enough for 34th overall, seventh lady and first V50.
Also yesterday, Danny Snelson took on the Leicestershire Half Marathon and finished in an excellent time of 1:47:17.
