IT turned out to be a quieter week of racing for the Denbigh Harriers.
However, a few early risers ran in local parkruns on Saturday with some great results.
Shaun Hughes was first over the finishing line at the Prestatyn Parkrun in fantastic time of 18.26, followed closely by Andrew Mearns, who was the runner-up in 18.49.
Paul Jones was not far behind, finishing 10th in 23.30.
At Conwy, Simon Nixon crossed the line 23rd in 23.13, with John Llewelyn Thomas finishing 191st in 41.29.
Sian Pritchard was still running strongly at Greenfield Valley, finishing 13th overall in 26.57, followed by an equally strong running Chris Baldwin in 27.16 on this hilly course.
MORE: Young and old shine for Denbigh Harriers
Sioned Griffiths was the only Denbigh Harrier at the Llangollen Fell Race on a wonderful, crisp Sunday.
This is a 17-mile fell and trail race with around 3,000 feet of elevation, taking in the beautiful views across Trevor Rocks, Eglwyseg Mountain and Rhuabon Mountain.
The route climbs to Cyrn y Brain and Watkins Tower before descending down the Offa’s Dyke and along the World’s End trail back towards the finish in Llangollen.
Sioned finished 70th overall and the 14th female in a time of 3-00.38.
