ST ASAPH City manager Daniel Brewerton has managed to secure the services of key squad members ahead of the new campaign.
The Saints’ look set to be part of the new Tier 3 structure after meeting the criteria from the Football Association of Wales, and this was swiftly followed by a series of players agreeing to stay on at the club.
Experienced defender Jamie Brewerton, who enjoyed plenty of success at Bangor City and Rhyl during his glittering career, will be staying on for one more season at least to aid his brother in their pursuit of making their presence felt next term.
Ali Parsonage, Jason Foulkes and talented forward Corey Brewerton are three others that will be part of the set-up once again, with Lee Jones, Dan Williams and James Williams also committing next season, whenever it gets underway.
Another notable re-signing is Mikey Hargreave, who was one of City’s standout performer last time out and will be a key component in any success that comes their way.
Johnny Taylor, Jamie Roberts, Callum Murphy and the experienced Jordan Owen will be part of Brewerton’s squad going forward, and gifted young teenager Dylan Roche is another that could see more game time after impressing considerably during his first campaign in a senior environment.
Rounding off those that have committed to the club are Tom Kingsland, John Newton, Charlie Lyons, Jamie Jones, James Witherspoon and Alfie Moorcroft.
This represents a real boost for the Saints, who went through plenty of turbulent times last season in Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One, which also included serious flood damage at their ground.
Things look far more promising next season, with the club’s harbouring big ambitions on and off the pitch going forward.
