WALES Golf have announced the cancellation or postponements of more events due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The governing body confirmed that the move impacts all Championships and events up to and including July 12.
In addition, all events requiring club qualification for National Finals have been cancelled for 2020.
David Wilson, Wales Golf championship manager, said: “It is with regret that we have taken the steps to postpone and cancel more Championships in our schedule, but our primary focus has to be on the health and wellbeing of the public at this time.
“We are working hard to preserve Championships where it is both safe to do so and in keeping with government guidelines.
“In instances where Championships have been declared as postponed, the Wales Golf Championship Team will be working to rearrange where possible, however due to the nature of the unpredictable situation details on these events will be issued at a later date.
“We would like to thank everyone involved for their understanding.”
Among the cancelled events include the Welsh Open Youth Championships at Maesdu Golf Club in Llandudno, which was set to take place from May 29-31.
Those on the postponed list at the Ladies Amateur Championships at Rhuddlan Golf Club on 23-25 May and the Junior Tour Event 5 at Caernarfon Golf Club on July 12.
All championships requiring club qualification rounds have also been cancelled for 2020 due to the continuing threat of Covid-19 and social distancing measures implemented by the UK government.
