A NEW girls’ football team has been set up in Rhyl.
Rhyl Hearts Lionesses is an under-7s side which will be coached by former professional player Lisa Howard.
It has been backed by sponsorship from Adam Wilks, owner of ARW Fencing Contractors, and Nile Isaac, owner of N Isaacs Painting and Decorating.

Lisa, from Denbigh, said: “We are happy to introduce our new all-girls team, Rhyl Hearts Lionesses.
“Rhyl Hearts JFC’s development team, led by Daryl Jones, has helped facilitate the formation of the under-7s girls’ team.
“We are so lucky to have such a great bunch of girls who are very excited to start their first season together. We are the only girls’ team at the club so far.
“I would like to thank our sponsors, Adam Wilks, and Nile Isaac.”
