RHYL Hearts Athletic is gearing up for a new season with new kits, training gear, and jackets, thanks to sponsorships from various businesses in Denbighshire.

St Asaph Hand Car Wash and Valet Centre and High Street News and Off Licence, Rhyl have both agreed to sponsor the club for the 2024-25 season.

Eleni Resuli, of St Asaph Hand Car Wash, said: "St Asaph Car Wash is pleased to be sponsoring this fantastic team again this year.

“Hearts Athletic's Under-7s team are an excellent young team with great, ambitious players and professional coaches.

“Contributing to the community and supporting these amazing young footballers to realize their potential is something we are proud to be a part of."

Helen Starkey, of High Street News, shared a personal connection to their sponsorship.

She added: "We wanted to give back to the local community through our business, High Street News, Rhyl.

“We were drawn to Hearts Athletic's Under-7s team because my late uncle George started Rhyl Hearts JFC many years ago."

This sponsorship is one of many positive developments at Rhyl Hearts JFC; its development team, led by Daryl Jones, has helped facilitate the formation of an all-girls under-7s team, Rhyl Hearts Lionesses.

Coached by former professional player Lisa Howard, from Denbigh, the Lionesses are preparing for their first season, backed by sponsorship from Adam Wilks, owner of ARW Fencing Contractors.

Additionally, Rhyl Hearts JFC are currently hosting their annual free football sessions throughout June, which has resulted in the creation of five new teams ranging from under-6s to under-9s, and introducing the club's first mini kicker sessions which are free for all children younger than five.

Rhyl Hearts JFC is also in talks with councillors to acquire the disused building at Coronation Gardens, aiming to provide much-needed changing facilities for the club and the wider community.
