CPD Y Rhyl 1879 suffered a 3-0 defeat at Conwy Borough on Saturday (April 27), at the end of a week which saw them knocked off top spot in the Ardal North West League by Flint Mountain.
Just 10 minutes in, Rhyl’s Alex Jones was caught in possession just inside his own half by Adam Hold, and with his favoured left foot, Hold fired at goal.
The ball, taking a wicked deflection, looped up and over Rhyl goalkeeper Ryan Woods and into the back of the net.

The hosts doubled their lead seven minutes later, after a move down the right resulted in a Conwy corner.
Toby Jones took it, lifting the ball into the centre of the six-yard box, where Daniel Evans was unmarked and was able to head the ball in from close range.
Rhyl made three substitutions at half-time, but six minutes into the second period, they were further behind.
This time, Evans would turn provider, as he slotted the ball through to Jones, who calmly placed the ball to Woods’ right.
The Lilywhites would end the day in third place, with both Flint Mountain and Llay Welfare above them and with games in hand.
Meanwhile, Holyhead Hotspur are just a point behind them, and Nantlle Vale eight behind with three games in hand.
Rhyl travel to Llangefni Town on Wednesday night (May 1) for their last league game of the season.
