CONGRATULATIONS are in order to Rhuddlan Bowling Club’s ladies’ team on becoming Section B Champions of the Clwydian Ladies League for season 2024.
In only their second season back in this revamped league, its team, led by Shirley Capper, went one better than last season, when they finished in a close runners-up spot to Vardre Ladies, currently Section A pacesetters.
This time, though, the team proved virtually unstoppable, recording 10 wins in 12 league matches.

Sian Ollerton won all of her 12 games, while Shirley Capper, Jackie Ollerton and Pauline Kenny featured as other notable standout performers.
Mike Elgin, club chair, said: “Next season, Section A will offer a new challenge for Rhuddlan Ladies, something our team will no doubt be up for!”
