PRESTATYN Town FC have been deducted three points after fielding an ineligible player in a league match earlier this season.
The club was charged with fielding an ineligible player on March 28, relating to the club’s JD Cymru North fixture against Mold Alexandra FC on December 31, 2023.
It was alleged that the club listed Travis Wilson on its team sheet for the fixture, despite Wilson not being present for the match, and an ineligible player playing under his name instead.
Today (April 12), Prestatyn Town was docked three points by the Football Association of Wales after the charge was found proven.
Mold Alexandra won the game in question 3-0.
The deduction moves Prestatyn Town one place in the 16-team league, from 13th to 14th position.
Prestatyn Town has the right to appeal the decision before 5pm on April 23.
