AFTER a testing cross-country race, most runners would choose to take things easy, but six of Prestatyn Running Club's ladies chose to take on a second tough challenge.

Less than 24 hours after ploughing through the Oswestry mud in the fourth and final fixture of the David Alun Williams North Wales Cross-Country League, they joined more than 600 other competitors in the Nick Beer 10k at the Great Orme.

The cross-country season has been largely disappointing for the club but the women have generally shown the way.
