THE massed forces of Prestatyn Running Club’s “red army” were in action on two fronts in the past week, producing strong performances in North East and North West Wales.
A total of 20 members turned out in the third fixture of Deestriders’ Off-Road Grand Prix in Shotton, making up almost 25 per cent of the field.
And with one race to go, it looks as if a host of medals will be coming their way.
The outstanding results came from three who were making their debut in the Grand Prix, with Tom Carter finishing second overall, Oliver Birch-Jones ninth and Ceri Vaughan, who last represented the club as a junior, 35th.
