RESULTS usually speak for themselves, but last weekend's times alone do not do justice to several members of Prestatyn Running Club.
A total of 12 members took part in the Easter 5k Dash on Llandudno promenade, and although two picked up medals, four others would also have done had there been more than one prize in each age category.
Among those who missed out was Steve Stocker, but he had the consolation of setting a new lifetime PB for the distance.
Roger Harrison-Jones was first over-85, for which there no award, but his time took him to the top of the UK rankings.
Though not fully race-fit, Gordon Jones was second in the M60 class, placing him 17th in the rankings.
He turns 65 in July, and that same time would have rocketed him up to third in the UK in his new category.
Gareth Hughes won the M75 medal, moving up to fourth in the rankings in the process.
Results: 11 Alex Ryder 16.57, 16 Steve Stocker 18.25 (2nd M45), 28 Gordon Jones 19.01 (2nd M60), 52 Dan Liddle 20.53, 64 Darren Thompson 21.37 (3rd M55), 93 George Nixon 24.03 (1st M70), 95 Ann Claire Jones 23.47, 123 Gareth Hughes 25.38 (1st M75), 165 Alan Jones 27.46, 200 Roger Harrison-Jones 30.05 (1st M85), 292 Helen Alefounder 38.18, 303 Dave Hughes 43.35 (3rd M80).
