On Saturday (April 3), he turned out for the 21st time at the Nova parkrun, and once again finished second overall.

In each of his last nine outings, he has finished in the top three places.

Among changes adopted at the club’s annual general meeting on Friday (March 31) was the election of new club captains.

For the next 12 months, the man’s and ladies’ roles will be shared by Lee Bailey, Dave Ellis, Sophie Johnson, Mandy Cartwright, Liz Martin and Nicki Triggs.

Meanwhile, next Saturday (April 8) is the annual Easter 5k on Llandudno promenade, which usually results in a few podium places for Prestatyn runners.
