IT WAS a case of “what might have been” for Prestatyn Running Club at the North Wales Cross-Country Championships in Wrexham on Saturday (January 7).

Members of the club collected six individual and one team award at the event.

There was a good quality field for the main men’s race and although he is more suited to tougher, challenging courses, Steve Skates had a superb run, finishing sixth overall and first in the M40 class.
