THE holiday period proved far from restful for members of Prestatyn Running Club, some of whom completed two parkruns in 24 hours.
On Boxing Day, four of the club’s woman joined a large field for the Round the Walls race in Chester, which includes a circuit of the walls, with the start and finish on the racecourse.
Ann Claire Jones was the first of the quartet in 367th place overall, with a time of 40.44 for the 6k course.
Immediately behind her as Helen Alefounder in 40.45, with Debbie Jones and Julie Evans 408th and 409th respectively in 43.17 and 43.18.
Over completely different terrain, the Jubilee Plunge is a mad dash of a descent from the summit of Moel Famau to Llangynhafal.
A total of three club members took part, with Steve Skates coming second in 11.59, Steve Brown 23rd in 17.19 and Helen Ashworth 33rd in 23.38.
And four days later, Steve Skates was again second, this time in the perfectly flat Nova Parkrun.
