A TRIO of Prestatyn Running Club’s ladies took on a scenic but tough challenge last weekend, with three off-road races in fewer than 48 hours.

The Snowdonia Trail Series, in aid of St David’s Hospice, involved two 10k runs on Friday evening (September 23) and Saturday, the latter turning out to be more than 11k, and a 7k race on Sunday.

Sophie Johnson, Mandy Cartwright and Ann Claire Jones completed all three, while Helen Alefounder was unavailable for the final event.

Their placings were: Race 1 (Llyn Padarn): 21 Sophie Johnson 65.48, 23 Ann Claire Jones 67.00, 30 Many Cartwright 69.20, 48 Helen Alefounder 74.44.
