STATISTICS can lie, but in the case of Prestatyn Running Club supervet Martin Cortvriend, there is no denying that they are pretty impressive.
On Saturday (August 6), he completed his 250th parkrun, having turned out in all corners of these islands and numerous overseas venues.
Not only that, but he holds the M70 record in virtually all the parkruns he has completed since his birthday earlier this year.
Last week, he was one of only five club members to turn out in the Caernarfon 10k, which incorporated the North Wales championship, and he completed a quartet of titles.
Since January, he has become North Wales over-70s’ champion at 5k, 10k, 10 miles and mountain-running, as well as gaining another international vest.
