CONDITIONS were perfect for the Llantysilio fell-race near Llangollen, giving many competitors an ideal start to their off-road season.
A total of four Prestatyn Running Club members turned out in the event, which involves 2,100 feet of climbing a 10km course.
Steve Brown, the club’s new off-road captain, finished in 1-35 and was followed by Anne Claire Jones in 1-56, and Julia Evans and Helen Alefounder, who crossed the line together one minute behind her.
Next Sunday (March 27) sees the fifth fixture in the Borders Road-Running League, when Buckley Runners host the event at Mold.
