SATURDAY night (August 17) saw three members of Abergele Harriers head to Blackpool to take part in the Run the Lights 5/10k.
Sean and Steven McCormack took on the 5k, running together to finish in eighth and ninth position in an excellent 19:53 on a windy night.
Danny Williams also excelled himself, breaking his personal best in finishing ninth in the 10k in a superb 36:02.
The following day, Abergele Harriers’ Rachel Shipley represented a North Wales team against Shropshire and Staffordshire, in the Caernarfon 10k.

Rachel finished 39th and seventh lady overall in 39:03 - this brought her home as second counter for the team.
Also running for the Harriers was Darren Blazier, finishing in 40:26 for 51st position.
The previous Wednesday (August 14), Rachel and Darren took part in the Ellesmere Port 5k, Rachel finishing 117th and 14th lady in 18:32.
Darren was a few seconds adrift in 18:41 for 121st position.
Just one member ran a parkrun this week - Anthony Howe came back from injury to take on tail running duties at Bowling Park race, finishing in 56:57.
