YESTERDAY (July 28) saw three members of Abergele Harriers take part in the Holyhead Breakwater 5 mile race, which incorporated the North Wales Championships.
The club’s trio of participants toed the line on a hot but breezy day.
Danny Williams was the first Harrier home in an excellent 30:13 - a personal best - for 12th position, which gave him second V40 and a gold medal in the championships.

Rachel Shipley was next home, also setting a personal best in 31:45, giving her 24th position and second lady overall, for a silver medal in the championships.
Also running was Darren Blazier, 25th in 31:54, giving him second V50 and another silver in the championships.
The previous Wednesday (July 24), Rachel and Darren were also in action in the Race The Train 5k in Caernarfon.
Rachel finished 17th and second lady in 17:56, while Darren was 22nd in 18:25.
A couple of Harriers ran in parkruns last week, meanwhile - Gareth Evans ran the Prestatyn race and finished 36th in 24:16.
Anthony Howe headed to Ruthin and finished 85th in 52:36.
