ABERGELE Harriers were represented by two runners at the Cardiff 5k yesterday (May 6).
Rachel Shipley ran for a North Wales team in an inter-regional competition, a race which was also part of the Welsh Championships.
She put aside illness to lead the North Wales team home in 18:24 for 257th position, and 34th lady.
Also running from the Harriers was Darren Blazier, who’d had the same illness and was less happy with 19:08 for 315th.

Elsewhere, Harriers Sean and Steven McCormack took on pacing duties in the Belfast City Marathon.
Running the fifth of six marathons for charity, they paced for a sub-five-hour run and managed it expertly, finishing in 4:58:43.
Parkrun results this week:
Prestatyn Nova Parkrun - Danny Williams 18:48 for third position, Gareth Evans 23:21 for 22nd place.
Greenfield Valley Parkrun - Anthony Howe was 35th in 31:47.
Conwy Parkrun - Andrew Mercer finished in 22:22 for 42nd position.
Hillsborough Parkrun - Danny Snelson was 109th in 23:41.
