IN THE bright sunshine of Abergele, the Rhyl five- and 10-mile races took place yesterday (February 25) due to the ongoing sea defence work in Rhyl .
In the five-mile race Abergele runners Emma Lancaster-Williams finished 116th 51:00; 137th Heather Foden 53:00; 139th Zoe Barnaby 53.13.

In Deeside at Coleg Cambria, Kelsterton, the fifth race in the Borders League series, was taking place, with more than 350 runners taking part.
Thick fog and -1°C temperatures greeted the runners at the Deeside track, with James Yarwood enjoying an impressive race, finishing 14th overall in a time of 23.54 and 11th in the race series.
John Jones finished 165th 30.39 and went to first place in the V65 category, meanwhile.
