A WOMAN from Abergele who has just completed her second year as a professional golfer won the senior sportswoman prize at the 2023 Conwy Sports Awards last month.

Lea-Anne Bramwell, 23, was presented with her award at the ceremony at Venue Cymru, Llandudno on Friday, November 24.

Laura Deas, the Wrexham-born Winter Olympics skeleton bronze medallist, presented Lea-Anne with her trophy at the event.

A member of both Abergele and Conwy Golf Clubs – the latter being where she practises, Lee-Anne has also just completed her rookie year on the Ladies European Tour.

This has taken her to many tournaments across the globe, including in such countries as India and South Africa.

She also has her own Facebook group which her dad, Jason, set up for her followers, to see what she is up to, from training to compete in tournaments.
