ABERGELE Harriers’ Rachel Shipley and Darren Blazier travelled to Staffordshire to take part in the Stone 10k yesterday (June 25).
Despite starting at 10am, the race was particularly hot and humid, with the thermometer reading well into the mid-20s.
Rachel was in the original team to run as part of a North Wales group in an inter-regional event, while Darren was brought in as a late replacement.
Finishing in 42nd, Darren was pleased with a season’s best of 37.50.
Rachel took a minute off her time from last year to finish 63rd and seventh lady in 39.18.
