A NEW digital platform will look to show off “everything Abergele” in the town.

QRBoxx will allow members of the public to access information about what is on offer, all under one umbrella.

Abergele Town Council hosted a launch event for QRBoxx on Friday (November 29).

The mayor of Abergele, Cllr Diane Green, as well as members of the QRBoxx team, were on hand to welcome community groups and business owners, who had the opportunity to network, share ideas, ask questions, and get bespoke support.

So far, ahead of the launch, the platform has already been visited by almost 1,500 people, with almost 60 groups and businesses having already created bespoke listings, alongside a number of events, promotions, and blog posts.

In the coming weeks, people will begin to see the QRBoxx signage around town, complete with scannable QR codes, to encourage even more people to visit the platform.

QRBoxx also features “everything Christmas”, which allows groups and businesses increased opportunities to “get seen” by tagging their Christmas events and offers, which are highlighted on the QRBoxx homepage.

Simon Williams and Owain Colwell, co-founders of QRBoxx, said: “We’re excited to launch this platform in Abergele.

“Our goal is to create a space where businesses thrive, community groups collaborate, and residents feel more connected than ever. Join us and be a part of this exciting journey!”

Abigail Pilling, Placeplan officer at Abergele Town Council, added: “The QRBoxx Team has been working away in the background to bring this community resource to life in Abergele and our local area, and we are so pleased to see the community creating engaging content already.

“We are excited that QRBoxx has launched ahead of Christmas, and look forward to seeing more local content shared on this platform.”
