A PUB and restaurant in Prestatyn which re-opened with new operators in charge in the summer is to hold a special Christmas party.
The Ffrith, at 305 Victoria Road, is hosting a free “Ffrithmas party” on Monday, December 23 at 7pm.
It closed “until further notice” in June, but is now back open under 365msl, which also has pubs in the north of England and the Midlands.
Its new manager is Audrey Young, 48, who is running The Ffrith with her partner, having relocated from Stoke-on-Trent together.
Audrey said: “We are holding a party on December 23 for underprivileged children and young carers, all totally free. Our DJ, Carl Lawrence, came up with the idea.
“To pull this off, we urgently need the community’s help for donations of new or nearly new toys, selection packs, and non-perishable food.
“We want to spread some Christmas cheer and alleviate pressure for struggling families.
“It’s 100 per cent non-profit for ourselves; every item and penny used will be spent on the kids.”
The party will feature a disco, karaoke, presents, food and drinks, and, Audrey said, “maybe a little visit from Santa”.
The Ffrith is open seven days a week, from 11am to 11pm.
Since arriving at The Ffrith, Audrey said she and her partner have “worked tirelessly to clean the large outside area and inside”.
A Christmas menu at The Ffrith will also feature a Christmas Yorkshire pudding wrap, turkey sandwiches, a Christmas pizza, pigs in blankets and more.
Prior to closing, The Ffrith had been run by Sizzling Pubs, one of 16 brands operated by pub and restaurant company Mitchells & Butlers.
Mitchells & Butlers remains the property’s landlord.
