A FAMILY in Rhyl have got into the Christmas spirit by putting up festive lights outside their house, and raising money for charity in doing so.
Dominic Street spent three weeks decorating his home, on Rhydwen Drive, with the help of his partner, Tania Parry, and his three sons.
It has already attracted plenty of passers-by, with a collection bucket being left outside to support Rhyl’s homeless residents.
Guests at the house so far including Bearjamin the Fundraising Bear (Richard Kendrick) and Rhyl-based actor, Spencer Wilding.
This is the second successive year that Dominic has lit up his home for the festive season.
He said: “When we started looking into how bad the homelessness situation in Rhyl is, we thought we’d go all out this year, and try and collect some money for the homeless, as well.
“We’ll be handing over all the money raised to Bearjamin. So far, we’ve had over 150 people outside the house!
“I’ve known Spencer Wilding for a while, so I reached out to him, and he was more than happy to come and help out.
“We also give out free candy canes and chocolates to the kids, as well.
“We’re just trying to ring back some Christmas spirit. People haven’t had the best of times in the last few years, so anything that helps.”
