FATHER Christmas and his helpers have been busy preparing the Prestatyn Rotary Club float for its trips across the region this December.

Every year, the current Rotary president chooses which good causes will benefit from the proceeds of the collection.

For 2024, the current president, Huw Ellis-Williams, will share the collection between Hope House / Tŷ Gobaith Children's Hospice, Work in Progress, and Alzheimer's Society Cymru.

Hope House is based near Conwy and is the only hospice in the area offering care for babies, children and young people who have life-threatening conditions, as well as respite for their families.

Work in Progress is an arts group working to improve people's mental health and wellbeing through music and theatre.

Alzheimer's Society Cymru is working to improve the lives of people living with dementia.
