Rhyl Music Club is set to host its final concert of the year featuring a special performance of Mozart’s 27th Piano Concerto.
Taking place at Rhyl Town Hall on Wednesday, December 11, at 7pm, the concert will feature the Welsh Chamber Orchestra under the baton of conductor Anthony Hose, with baritone Jeremy Huw Williams and pianist Ellis Thomas.
Mozart's final piano concerto, performed shortly before the composer's death at age 35, adds a unique touch to the evening.
The concert will also showcase Tchaikovsky’s Andante Cantabile, Alex Mills’ Night, Sleep, Death & the Stars, Mathias’ Hobed o Hilion, and Haydn’s Symphony No. 8 (Le Soir).
Welsh composer Alex Mills’ Night, Sleep, Death & the Stars, first performed in 2024, is particularly notable as it includes poems by celebrated writers such as Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Anne Brontë, Wilfred Owen, and W.H. Auden.
