PRESTATYN’S Winter Fest is back this weekend following its successful debut event last year.

The two-day Christmas community festival and market will be held along the town’s High Street on November 30 and December 1.

Organised by Prestatyn Business Forum, one of the aims of Winter Fest is to “encourage shopping local”, shining a light on the town’s business owners and their services.

Hayley Morgan, who runs The Twisted Tree gift shop on High Street and is a member of the forum, said: “This year, Prestatyn Business Forum have been working hard to expand on Winter Fest, following on from our first event last year.

“Market stalls and craft marquees will be focused around the vicarage, and we have a mouth-watering selection of food and drink stalls to keep everyone fed and watered.

“Both days have lots of entertainment planned - the cadets will be keeping the children entertained with various games and activities, and we have a small fairground, too.

“We are also excited to have the cutest little Shetland pony coming along, which the kids can pet, feed and have their photographs taken.

“We hope to build Winter Fest year on year, learning as we go, but we're all looking forward to this year's festive weekend.”

Prior to Winter Fest, Prestatyn's Christmas lights will be switched on tomorrow (November 29) at about 4.30pm.
