THE annual carol service hosted by Denbighshire County Council is being held in Rhyl next week.

The service, A Christmas Celebration, will take place at 7pm on Tuesday, December 3 at St Thomas’ Church

Denbighshire Music Co-operative has helped to arrange the evening, with children from schools across the county taking part.

These include vocal and instrumental solos, a duet, a percussion group, a three-county band, as well as other musical items.

There will also be readings from members of staff and councillors.

Cllr Peter Scott, chairman of Denbighshire County Council, said: “I look forward to this concert every year, and it’s a lovely way to start the Christmas celebrations and listening to the children and young people of the county take part help make it such a special event.

“There is a warm welcome to you all, and I hope that as many of you as possible can join us at the event.”

During the service, there will be a collection towards St Kentigern Hospice, a charity that provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients.
