A BED retailer is to open a shop in Rhuddlan at a property currently used as a garage.
Now to Bed, which already has a premises in Rhuddlan in Clwyd Retail Park, is to set up another store at the home of Ash Motors, on Marsh Road.
The business also has stores on Prestatyn’s High Street and on Llandudno’s Vaughan Street.
Planning permission for a change of use for the Ash Motors site, from a garage to retail use, was granted by Denbighshire County Council’s planning committee on November 15.

A Now to Bed spokesperson said: “We are in the process of purchasing Ash Motors, which is going through the legal process as we speak.
“Our lease in Clwyd Retail Park has been extended until March 2025, when we hope to open our new store in Rhuddlan.”
The site of the Ash Motors garage measures 1,600 square metres, with the garage employing 10 full-time and one part-time staff members.
Now to Bed proposes to employ four people on a full-time basis, and one part-time, at the site.
Planning permission was granted but with various conditions attached, including that facilities are provided and retained within the site for the loading/unloading, parking and turning of vehicles, and which shall be completed before the development is brought into use.
Another condition is that the retail use must be limited to the display and sale of beds and associated furniture items only.
