The Denbighshire Leisure Ltd (DLL) Active Communities Awards celebrated local achievements in sport, arts, and culture last week.
The Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl, was packed on November 13, as individuals, teams, clubs, and schools from across Denbighshire gathered for the event.
Hosted by Jason Mohammad, the awards night recognised the contributions made by people and organisations within the community.
Nominees who had made a difference or achieved something significant in the fields of sport, arts, and culture attended the event with their families and friends.
The occasion was organised by DLL.
Jamie Groves, managing director of DLL, said: "DLL was extremely proud to host the second Active Communities’ Awards, and to recognise and celebrate the success of some of the exceptional individuals, teams, clubs and schools within Denbighshire.
"Sport and the arts plays such an important role in so many of our lives, whether through playing, supporting, coaching, volunteering or mentoring and there is no doubt that these activities bring people and communities together.
"Yet again the judges had an incredibly difficult job to decide on the shortlist, and then the winners.
"The team at DLL worked very hard to make the evening a special occasion, and it was fabulous to have the chance to celebrate such amazing talent from within our own county."
A total of 11 categories were honoured, recognising those who have made a difference or achieved excellence in sport, activity, arts, and culture in Denbighshire.
The list of winners includes Ann Ellis Davies as Volunteer of the Year, Andrew Virgo as Young Inspiration, and Paned a Chan CGWM for the Best Arts for Wellbeing Project.
Other winners include Lucca Tardivel for Excellence, Christchurch School as Primary School of the Year, and Ysgol Dinas Bran as Secondary School of the Year.
The Story Pals Intergenerational Project was recognised as the Best Community Creative Project, while Steph Rowles was named Sports Coach of the Year.
CPD Genod Henllan U'17 took the Team of the Year award, and the Flying High Trampoline Club was crowned Sports Club of the Year.
A special Lifetime Achievement award was given to Jack Hunt.
