A DENTAL practice in Prestatyn is to expand by taking on the High Street premises previously used as an office for the former Vale of Clwyd MP, James Davies.

Primo Dental has been based above Dr Davies’ old office, at 198 High Street, since 2019.

But the premises below its Prestatyn practice became available after Dr Davies did not win the Clwyd East constituency seat in July’s UK general election.

As well as Prestatyn, Primo Dental also has sites in Chester, Moreton and Bristol.

Dr Graham Corser, clinical director of Primo Dental, said: “We began our business journey in Prestatyn in 2019, and have since grown to five locations in the dental industry.

“We are very proud of where we began, and Prestatyn continues to be one of our busiest locations.

“We made the decision to take on the property, previously used by the local MP, as we are expanding into the private medical field and we’d want to build on that location first for the local community, as we did with our dental practice.

“Our high street premises in Prestatyn already has four state-of-the-art dental surgeries, which currently offers everything from general dentistry to full mouth implants.

“We’re always happy to welcome new patients with affordable Denplan plans, starting from £19.”

It is hoped that Primo Dental will open downstairs at 198 High Street in early 2025, with signage to be erected before all internal works are then carried out.

Dr Corser added: “We plan to use this space to offer ground floor access and better facilities for medical procedures as we look to expand our business into private medical procedures, including hair transplants.

“We want more people to have access to affordable and reliable treatment without leaving the UK, as we did within dentistry, providing treatment estimates with no hidden costs.

“Hair transplants will be the first of many procedures, and we also will be bringing a private GP service to the location in 2025. Watch this space!”

The owners of Dishes, a restaurant at 194 High Street, had earmarked the property as a potential wine bar.

Sam Morgan, of Open Restaurant Group, said this will still be considered “if the right site becomes available”.
