A PUB in Rhuddlan will be doing a “toy run” to the children’s ward at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd this Christmas for the second successive year.
The Kings Head, on High Street, will be delivering the presents to the hospital on Sunday, December 8, after last year’s run consisted of 50 scooters and two support vehicles.
Toys can be donated at the pub’s premises, which is acting as the “drop off point” for gifts.
Darren Knagg, the pub’s landlord, said: “The generosity of our local community and beyond has been absolutely overwhelming on both occasions.
“I will be riding out with the scooter clubs as I have done the previous two times - as a pub landlord I am very involved with our clubs (Rhuddlan Town FC, Denbighshire Scooter Club and Kingsmen MCC motorbike club).
“We’re pulling out all the stops, and have now got an Elvis Presley impersonator to entertain our guests, singing Christmas songs from 10-11am on the morning of the toy run.
“We managed to get a Christmas float courtesy of the Rhyl Rotary Club, too, for what will be an amazing event.”
