A PUB and restaurant in Prestatyn which re-opened with new operators in charge in the summer has now started serving food.

The Ffrith, on Victoria Road, closed “until further notice” in June, but is now back open under 365msl, which also has pubs in the north of England and the Midlands.

Its new manager is Audrey Young, 48, who is running The Ffrith with her partner, having relocated from Stoke-on-Trent together.

On the new menu at The Ffrith are a range of starters, hot dogs, burgers, steaks, pizzas and desserts, while roast dinners are also served between 12-5pm on Sundays.

A Christmas menu will also feature a Christmas Yorkshire pudding wrap, turkey sandwiches, a Christmas pizza, pigs in blankets and more.

Audrey said: “We are now fully back open for food - we have been serving food for nearly three weeks and not had one meal returned. Everyone is really pleased.

“Since opening under new management, all of the locals are using the pub again, and have been saying it hasn’t been this good for over 20 years.

“We also have live music on some Fridays, and a very popular karaoke and disco every Saturday from 8:30pm-12am, hosted by our resident DJ, Carl Lawrence.

“I think we’re more successful as we like to make our wonderful customers feel so welcome and they know we love the Ffrith as much as they do.

“We are, after all, custodians of their house.”

On Friday, December 6, the Ffrith will be welcoming a six-piece soul band, Soul Station, who will be performing live from 9pm.

Since arriving at The Ffrith, Audrey said she and her partner have “worked tirelessly to clean the large outside area and inside”.

The Ffrith is open seven days a week, from 11am to 11pm.

Prior to closing, The Ffrith had been run by Sizzling Pubs, one of 16 brands operated by pub and restaurant company Mitchells & Butlers.

Mitchells & Butlers remains the property’s landlord.
