THE RAILWAY line between Holyhead and Llandudno Junction is blocked, with train services between the stations stopped.
Travel between the two stations, on the North Wales main line, may be "delayed or revised" because of the blockage, Transport for Wales said.
This was due to a points failure at Penmaenmawr, which is causing disruption to services to and from Holyhead and en route to Birmingham, Cardiff and Manchester.
Network Rail staff are investigating the affected area.
Transport for Wales said: "A points failure at Penmaenmawr is causing disruption to services on our Birmingham International / Cardiff Central / Manchester Airport - Holyhead route, as a result the line towards Holyhead is currently blocked so services from Llandudno Junction may be delayed and revised.
"Network Rail staff are currently at the affected area investigating. Please check back here for more information shortly. We apologise for the disruption caused to your journey."
