Buildings across Denbighshire will be illuminated in red to honour the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day.

Denbighshire Leisure Ltd (DLL) will light up selected buildings between October 27 and November 13 in support of the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.

The initiative is also set to mark Remembrance Sunday, honouring those who died defending and protecting the country.

The buildings to be lit up include Ruthin Craft Centre, Rhyl Sky Tower, Rhyl Pavilion Theatre, 1891 Restaurant and Bar, the Events Arena waterfall, and Denbighshire coastal shelters.

These landmarks will remain illuminated over the weekend of November 9 and 10 to coincide with global tributes to those who served during war, conflict, and peace.

The DLL executive team will also lay wreaths in towns across Denbighshire to honour the fallen.

DLL's social media channels will feature a new poppy icon in recognition of those who sacrificed their lives.

Managing director Jamie Groves said: "Each year, DLL is proud to light up buildings in support of the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Sunday.

"As a company, we have enormous respect for the Royal British Legion and the incredible work they carry out in helping veterans and those in active service.

"This year, on Remembrance Sunday, members of our team will also be laying wreaths in towns across the county in tribute to the Armed Forces Community.

"We are very grateful to be involved and to be given the opportunity to honour those who have lost their lives serving their countries."
