A MAN from Rhyl arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder has been bailed.

The man, 28, was arrested on October 31 in connection with the death of Catherine Flynn, 69, who died in hospital following an incident on Cefndy Road during the evening of October 24.

Dean Mears, 33, of Bodelwyddan Avenue, Kinmel Bay, has been charged with murdering Ms Flynn, and with aggravated burglary.

Today (November 4), North Wales Police confirmed that the man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder has been released on conditional bail, pending further enquiries.

A 25-year-old woman from Rhyl, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, also remains on bail.

Mears, who has been remanded in custody, is due to enter pleas to his charges on February 7, 2025.

Should he plead not guilty, a provisional trial start date of April 29 has been set.
