BELOW is a round-up of all of the Denbighshire criminals whose sentencings were covered by the Free Press or Journal in October.
Nathan Hughes
Hughes, 33, from Denbigh, refused to leave the cells as he was jailed after breaching the terms of his previous release from prison.
He was re-arrested after North Wales Police had made appeals for help in locating him.
Connor Lees
Lees, 19, of The Crescent, Rhyl, “quite inexplicably” failed to abide by the terms of the suspended sentence he was given.
He went to work in Liverpool for his grandad, who he didn’t tell about his suspended sentence, instead of completing his unpaid work.
Phillip Hill
Hill, 33, of East Parade, Rhyl, strangled and threw hot gravy at his partner after becoming jealous of the amount of time she was spending with her sick father.
His partner’s father sadly died three days after this incident.
Stephen Thomas
Thomas, 46, of Erw Deg, Llangollen, “took advantage” of a group of “vulnerable” and “troubled” teenagers by grooming them.
On one occasion, one of the females passed out on Thomas’ sofa after he had given her cocaine and alcohol.
Gareth Ashton
Ashton, 39, of Victoria Road, Prestatyn, followed girls and secretly filmed up their skirts, months after he had been spared jail for sexual offences including voyeurism.
He also covertly filmed a young girl undressing while she was at the beach with her family.
