A NEW bar and catering partner has been welcomed to Rhyl Golf Club as the partner for its new clubhouse.
Ian Reid, director of The Clubhouse, led the successful application that was chosen by the club.
Completion of the new clubhouse’s construction is scheduled for early next year, with a grand opening set to be held in April.
Ian and his team will run the new clubhouse’s catering and bar facilities.
Work is now beginning on fitting out the lounges, kitchens and remaining rooms in the new clubhouse, with a “soft launch” pencilled in for the new year.
Rhyl Golf Club is aiming to be the first carbon neutral golf club in Wales, as reflected by the 40+ solar panels which will be on the new clubhouse’s roof.
A club spokesperson said: “We are delighted to welcome Ian Reid, director of The Clubhouse, to Rhyl Golf Club.
“Ian has over 20 years of experience within the hospitality trade, with specialisation in golf clubs.
“Ian, together with his area manager Ian Lloyd Simon, is a very ‘hands-on’ director. He leads his company from the front and has a passion for excellent customer service, and a love for anything to do with sports.
“He is a keen golfer, too.”
Ian added: “Our mission is to provide outstanding customer services to our members and customers alike.
“When we take over a site, we like to speak with our customers and find out what they want from their clubhouse.
“We look at bringing in excellent fresh food and a variety of different drinks at an affordable price.
“We have 70 staff on our books that are all trained thoroughly, and are certificated in all aspects of food and service delivery.
“We source all of our products locally from renowned suppliers to ensure quality products for all our guests.
“Due to our buying power, we can offer these products at a fair and competitive price.”
