Three care homes in North Wales have new owners after an acquisition.

New Care, which has homes in Rhyl and Flint, has been acquired by Lovett Care.

This deal sees Lovett Care add 15 care facilities to its portfolio, including Bradshaw Manor in Rhyl, and Rhiwlas and Bod Hyfryd in Flint.

Cheshire-based New Care, established 15 years ago, has built a successful business with a reputation for quality care.

The company has 15 facilities with 1,057 care beds, spread across Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Yorkshire, and Nottinghamshire.

Newcastle-under-Lyme-based Lovett Care has been operating since 2009 and has a portfolio of 16 homes with 1,091 care beds.

The acquisition of New Care's facilities means the combined group will now have a portfolio of 31 homes with a total of 2,148 care beds.

Lovett Care CEO, Keith Crockett, said: "We are delighted to welcome the residents and our new colleagues at New Care to the Lovett Care family and are looking forward to working and growing together.

"This is a key milestone in our long-term strategy and consistent with our commitment to deliver the best quality care in attractive market locations."

Chris McGoff, CEO of New Care, also expressed his confidence in the acquisition.

He said: "We are delighted that New Care is now in the reliable hands of Lovett Care who share our values, high standards, and above all our care for the residents for whom New Care is home.

"We are confident the homes will continue to thrive and be a success with Lovett Care."
