AN AWARD-winning bakery chain is celebrating 15 years of business at its Prestatyn home.

All of the baking is done in Mostyn, before being delivered fresh to the shops.
James said they enjoyed an “in-house celebration with the staff” last week to mark 15 years in Prestatyn.
He said: “My mum and dad grew up and still live in Prestatyn, so they’re quite proud of having had a shop on the High Street for 15 years.
“We’re really proud of the fact we’ve been able to retain local people for so long, too. Of our sales assistants, Leanne and Michelle have been there for over 10 years, and Chris isn’t far off that, either.
“Our popular items are the breakfast and lunchtime sandwiches, like bacon baps and ham salads, and on the cake side, we’re very popular on vanilla slices and fresh cream cakes.
“We do a full traditional range of bread, including artisan breads, traditional white and brown loaves, tiger rolls – they’ve been very popular in Prestatyn, in particular.
“It’s quite a community-based shop; we get a lot of regulars, who come in for their bread every day.”
Clwyd Bakeries is open from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
