A CAFÉ and bistro in Prestatyn has said it is “very disappointed” after being handed a one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Four Seasons Café and Bistro (licenced under the name Plamen Panayotov Ltd), at 93 High Street, received the score after assessment on September 12.
The business was scored well for the cleanliness of its facilities and building, but improvement was deemed necessary with regards to its hygienic food handling - including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage.
The Four Seasons’ management of food safety was rated ‘major improvement necessary’.
A popular place for residents and visitors to the town, the business said it took the rating “very seriously”, and had made “swift, thorough” improvements since then.
This included members of staff receiving comprehensive food safety training and completing upgrades to the kitchen and restroom facilities.
