THE date for the Christmas lights switch-on in Prestatyn for 2024 has been confirmed.
The town’s Christmas lights will be turned on for the first time on Friday, November 29, at 4.30pm.
It will form part of an afternoon of events planned at Lower High Street between 1-5pm, which will include performances from schools, festive children’s activities, Santa and his friends, and more.
Entry to this event will be free of charge, meanwhile.
Prestatyn’s Winter Fest, a two-day Christmas community festival and market, will then be held along the town’s High Street on November 30 and December 1.
One of the aims of Winter Fest is to “encourage shopping local”, shining a light on the town’s business owners and their services.
Prior to this, Prestatyn Town Council has also organised a number of events to celebrate Halloween.
These include “sketch and draw” drop-in sessions on October 28, a scavenger hunt on October 30, and “movie madness” on October 31 – all based at its offices on Nant Hall Road.
A “creepy critters” event will also be held at the Scala cinema on November, from 1-4pm.
