A TOTAL of four drug-driving arrests were made in Rhyl this week, as well as one for shoplifting.

The arrests were made as part of Renew Rhyl, a multi-agency partnership launched in the Rhyl West area earlier this year, aimed at regenerating an area affected by serious and organised crime.

North Wales Police said a quantity of a class A drug was also recovered following stop-searches.

A force spokesperson said: “The team on Project Renew have been busy again this week, with proactive patrols around the community.

“During patrol, there have been a high volume of stop-searches conducted, with a class A substance located.

“Four drug-driving offence arrests were made, with colleagues from the Roads Crime Unit arresting one for a second time in two days.

“One high-profile shoplifting offender was also located and arrested.”
