A CASUALTY was taken to hospital after experiencing a medical emergency while on board a boat near Prestatyn.
Rhyl RNLI’s all-weather Shannon class lifeboat was tasked by HM Coastguard at 11.34am on September 23 to reports of a medical emergency off the coast of Talacre.
The lifeboat arrived on scene at 12pm, and located the casualty vessel.

One person was brought aboard the lifeboat, and casualty care was administered before returning them to Rhyl Lifeboat Station, where they were taken to hospital for further medical assistance.
Martin Jones, Rhyl RNLI coxswain, said: “I'd like to thank the volunteer crew once again for their service, we were on scene quickly and well prepared, utilising our well-practised casualty care training, leading to a successful rescue.
“Being correctly prepared at sea, having a VHF radio, flares and correct life-saving equipment are absolutely essential, and this rescue is a brilliant example of this.”
